Notifications

In the "Notifications" module, you can centrally manage various notification alert settings for the TNAS system, including desktop message notifications, email notifications, and more.

System Notifications

All notification types are enabled by default. You can customize the activation or deactivation of specific categories of message alerts in the notification settings based on actual needs, enabling personalized management.

  • Message Notifications: In the message center at the top right corner of the TOS desktop, you will receive real-time push notifications for enabled system events, including key occurrences such as login alerts, task status updates, and storage abnormalities.
  • Email Notifications: When the system triggers important events, relevant notifications will be sent to your pre-configured email address, ensuring you stay informed of updates even when not logged into the device.

Subscribed Messages

Once enabled, when you log into the TOS system, you will immediately receive push alerts for key information such as system upgrades, major event notifications, and application updates. This ensures you stay up-to-date with the latest developments and important changes related to TNAS.

Email Notifications

  • Enable Email Notifications: When activated, the system will automatically send notifications for key events (e.g., login alerts, hard drive warnings, task completions) to the pre-configured administrator email and other added recipients via your specified SMTP mail server.
  • Administrator Email: By default, this is the system administrator email registered during device initialization. This email will always receive all notification emails and cannot be deleted.
  • Add Recipient Emails: Supports adding up to 5 additional recipient emails. Once added, these emails will receive system notifications synchronously with the administrator email.
  • Send Test Email: Clicking this option will immediately send a test email to the administrator email and all added recipient emails.
  • Configure Mail Server: The system uses the local SMTP mail server by default for sending emails, and custom mail servers are also supported.
Note
  1. If you do not receive the test email, please check your spam folder, or try using a different recipient email address and retry.
  2. If the default mail server is blocked by the recipient's server, you will not receive notification emails normally. In such cases, it is recommended to switch to a custom mail server to ensure smooth email delivery.
