App Center
You can install applications designed by the TerraMaster team or third-party applications that meet your needs in the Application Center. For example, Duple Backup is a disaster recovery tool with backup and restore functions, CloudSync can quickly synchronize data between TNAS and cloud drives, Photos can intelligently recognize and categorize photos, and Docker Manager is a tool that manages images through a graphical interface.
Installing Applications
- Online Installation: You can view all applications in the [Recommended Apps], [All Apps], or [Community Apps] sections of the Application Center, or use the search box to find the application you need, then click Install. To install or download applications from [Community Apps], some applications may require you to register an account with the application provider.
- Manual Installation: Click the Manual Install button to manually install an application by uploading an application installation file in .tpk or .deb format. You can click the "Download" button in the Application Center or go to "Community Apps" to obtain the corresponding .tpk or .deb installation package.
Docker Applications
- Images: Docker applications pull and use the latest version of the image by default.
- Important Note: Some Docker applications may require additional declarations or configuration information, such as accounts, passwords, etc. Please complete the relevant settings according to the application instructions.
- Docker Container Configuration: Please fill in the corresponding parameters according to the application requirements. Be sure to configure the data volume path and port information, otherwise it may cause container build or run failures.
Note
- Beta version applications are designed for testing purposes. The goal is to ensure the quality of the official version, so the software may have bugs or performance issues. If you wish to test these applications, you are welcome to download and install them and provide your feedback.
- Before installing Docker applications, you need to install and enable the Docker Engine and Docker Manager applications. Through Docker Manager, you can manage containers and customize container configurations.
- If you cannot find the application you need, please contact the TerraMaster team developers for more information.
Managing Applications
- Enable/Disable: Click on an installed application to enter its details page, then click "Disable" or "Enable" to change the application's running status.
- Update: When a new version of an installed application is released, the "Application Center" icon on the desktop will display the number of applications that can be updated. Go to Application Center > Installed, find the application you need to update, and click the Update button to update the application.
- Download: Download the application installation file with the .tpk or .deb extension. If you are in an offline environment, you can manually install the application installation file with the .tpk extension to use the application.
- Uninstall: In the application details, click the Uninstall button to uninstall the application.
Note
- If you need to customize the container configuration of a Docker application, or if the application installation, enabling, or startup fails, you can manage and view the images through the Docker Manager application.
- If you encounter any issues with an application, try updating the application to the latest version, or delete the application and its data, then reinstall it. If the above methods do not resolve your issue, please contact the application's publisher or developer for assistance and support.
Application Settings
- Installation Location: When managing multiple storage pools or volumes, you can flexibly configure the installation location of applications based on actual needs and application characteristics.
- Applications: On the "Installed" page of the Application Center, you can use "Application Settings" to view the storage location, port number, and current enabled status of installed applications. At the same time, you can quickly perform operations such as enabling, disabling, or uninstalling applications.
- Application Logs: Application logs record the time, category, status, and level of your application installations, while also capturing user information who performed the installation operations. You can customize the storage capacity and retention period of the logs as needed. Application logs support exporting all log data to your local computer.
Note
- Log levels are divided into three levels: Info represents routine information, Error records runtime errors, and Warning alerts more serious events that may affect system operation or security.
- Log categories are divided into three types: Install indicates successful installation, Start indicates successful enabling, and Stop indicates successful disabling.
- The default log retention period is 30 days, and the default number of log entries retained is 10,000.
