📄️ Overview
The Overview page displays TOS system disk information and storage space information, allowing you to view all relevant storage management information at a glance.
📄️ Volumes
Volumes are the basic storage spaces of TNAS. All your data (such as shared folders, documents, etc.) is stored in volumes. Before you start storing data on TNAS, you need to create at least one volume.
📄️ Storage Pool
Through TNAS, you can consolidate multiple disks into a single unified storage device, known as a Storage Pool. Based on this Storage Pool, you can easily create volumes. If there is available space in the Storage Pool, volumes can also be expanded. Additionally, TNAS supports different types of RAID configurations, providing you with diverse levels of data protection.
📄️ Disks
In the Disk function, you can view detailed information about disks, check their health status, and perform maintenance operations such as disk health checks.
📄️ Virtual Disks
You can mount the iSCSI Target of a NAS device or server to TNAS as a Virtual Disk to expand the storage capacity of TNAS.
📄️ USB Devices
You can connect USB storage devices to the USB host interface of TNAS to expand the storage space of TNAS.
📄️ Hot Spare
A hot spare disk is a backup hard disk. When a hard disk in the storage pool fails, it can quickly and automatically take over to ensure the continuous and stable operation of the storage pool. To ensure performance and compatibility, it is recommended to choose a hot spare disk with the same model as the existing hard disks in the storage pool. The capacity of the hot spare disk should be at least equal to the smallest member disk in the storage pool; however, if your storage pool uses the TRAID or TRAID+ array type, the capacity of the hot spare disk should be at least equal to the largest member disk in the storage pool.
📄️ Hyper Cache
Hyper Cache is an SSD cache acceleration technology developed by TerraMaster. Compared with traditional SSD caches, Hyper Cache can provide 2 cache modes to choose from to meet different usage needs, and it can also create disk arrays for SSDs to increase cache speed and security. TerraMaster Hyper Cache can multiply storage performance and create a more efficient and reliable hybrid storage for you.
