Time Machine Backup
The Time Machine Backup app configures TNAS as a Time Machine server, allowing Mac OS users to back up their data to TNAS. This setup enables easy retrieval of lost files or restoration to previous data states.
Setup
Enable and Set Authorized Directory
- Navigate to TOS Desktop > Backup Management > Time Machine Backup.
- Check the box labeled "Enable Time Machine Backup."
- Set the "Authorized Directory."
- Click "Apply" to enable Time Machine Backup. Mac OS users can now designate TNAS as a backup disk.
Backup List
You can view the backup history in the backup list, including the backup data size and date. Additionally, you can delete backup files directly from the list.
Note
- Time Machine Default Setting: Time Machine is disabled by default in factory settings.
- Authorized Directory: This refers to the folder where Mac computer backups are stored.
