📄️ Overview
The Overview page displays TNAS system disk information and storage space details, giving you a clear view of storage management status.
📄️ Volume
A Volume is the basic storage unit on TNAS. All your data (such as shared folders, documents, etc.) is stored in volumes. Before storing data on TNAS, you need to create at least one volume.
📄️ Storage Pool
With TNAS, you can integrate multiple disks into a unified storage device, called a storage pool. Based on this storage pool, you can easily create volumes. If there is available space in the storage pool, volumes can also be expanded. In addition, TNAS supports different types of RAID configurations, providing you with a variety of data protection levels.
📄️ Disk
In the Disk feature, you can view detailed information about the disks, check their health status, and perform maintenance operations such as disk checkups.
📄️ Virtual Disk
You can mount the iSCSI Target from a NAS device or server to TNAS as a Virtual Disk to expand TNAS storage capacity.
📄️ USB Devices
You can connect USB storage devices to the TNAS USB host ports to expand the TNAS storage capacity.
📄️ Hot Spare Disk
A hot spare disk is a standby hard drive that can quickly take over when a disk in the storage pool fails, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the storage pool. To ensure performance and compatibility, it is recommended to choose a hot spare disk with the same model as the existing disks in the storage pool. The capacity of the hot spare should be at least equal to the smallest member disk in the storage pool; however, if your storage pool uses TRAID or TRAID+ array types, the hot spare's capacity should be at least equal to the largest member disk in the pool.
📄️ Hyper Cache
Hyper Cache is an SSD caching acceleration technology developed by TerraMaster. Compared with traditional SSD caching, Hyper Cache offers two caching modes to meet different usage needs and allows creating SSD arrays to increase caching speed and security. TerraMaster Hyper Cache can significantly enhance storage performance, providing a more efficient and reliable hybrid storage solution.
