Network Discovery Services

Network discovery services provide support for multiple protocols, helping your TNAS device to be quickly discovered and accessed within a local area network (LAN). By enabling different discovery services, you can seamlessly connect with various operating systems and smart devices, simplifying the process of network sharing.

UPnP Discovery Service

UPnP Discovery Service is a network service used to automatically detect and connect to devices on the network that support the UPnP protocol, enabling seamless interconnection and communication between devices. Enabling UPnP Discovery Service on TNAS allows TNAS to be shared with other UPnP devices within the local area network.

Windows Discovery Service

Enabling the Windows Discovery service makes it easier for Windows 10 and Windows 11 to discover shared folders on the TOS system.

Bonjour Discovery Service

Bonjour is used for automatic discovery and connection of devices and services on the network, facilitating zero-configuration network sharing and communication. Enabling Bonjour Discovery Service on TNAS allows TNAS to be shared with other devices within the local area network that have Bonjour service enabled.
